Memoir, interview, and diary, 1944-2000.

Contains a detailed memoir written by Rohbock that describes his capture, starvation, forced marches, brutal and merciful behavior of German guards in 1944-45. Also includes a diary by John W. McGinnis and a transcribed interview with Roy Gilbert, both of whom were POWs with Rohbock and describe many of the same hardships. Contains descriptions of the various camps in which they lived, and their marches through Germany and Poland.

Served in the US Army during World War II from 1942-1945. Rohbock was apart of the 448th Anti-Aircraft Artillery Battalion, 35th Infantry Division. He achieved the rank of technical sergeant.
